A Look Inside: the Dust Jacket! And a Fulfillment Update!

Hey there folks!

While we're waiting to hear from the printer regarding the completion of the books (should be this month!), we wanted to share the image of the full dust jacket! We don't believe we've shared it yet, and despite sharing images of the proofs in the last update, we really just wanted an excuse to highlight the incredible work by all of the creatives who had a hand in making this book come to life. Take a look!

We continuously say around the office that this is the dang prettiest book we've ever made. It catches your eye every single time, and we hope it will for you folks too when it's on your shelf!

To reiterate from our last update - the books should be finishing printing in a matter of days/by next week, and will then be packed and freighted to us right after! We gave the estimate for mid September, and it looks like it might just be closer to the end of September. That being said, SOON!

We've had SO many people requesting Frankenstein after we began doing the Classics. Well, the wait is nearly over! Check out the pre-launch page for the campaign HERE! 

This project truly is a labor of love and one very close to our hearts (get it?). We hope to do this beloved tale justice!

Todd Lockwood Prints Received, Tip-Ins Have Been Returned to the Printer, and... WE GOT THE PROOFS!

Hey all!

We've got a bunch of stuff to go over today, so buckle up!

First off on the docket: GenCon!

You folks came out in droves to say hello, tell us about receiving your books (not from this campaign*), and check out what we have in the works! If you stopped by our table, you'll have noticed a particular book sittin' pretty! ...More on that below... ;)

Just a short and sweet update for you all today. We just received the Todd Lockwood art prints in! Take a look!

We opened the boxes for the other two prints, but forgot to snap a picture. Rest assured - they are beautiful and came out exactly as designed! As they have to be signed by Todd, we didn't want to completely open them all up since they need to be sent right back out the door. Thanks again everyone for your feedback regarding these prints!

In addition, we've been behind the scenes printing and sending out the tip-ins for signing (the author's signature page)! There was some holdup at customs, but we've received word that the printer officially has them in hand. These can now be placed in the final books, so we're one step closer to having these beauties in our warehouse! Once printing finishes up, we'll let you folks know! :)

If you saw us at GenCon the other weekend, you would have seen this work of art in person. Take a look!

Shoutout to Ben for getting these beautiful pictures taken over the past couple weeks! That being said, they do not do the book justice. This very well may be the prettiest dang book we've done yet!

Since we've received the proof copies, the printer has let us know the main run is nearly completed (thanks to the tip-ins arriving, the final pieces can be assembled in full). They've let us know the main run will likely freight to us around mid to late September. Once we receive word of the freight process beginning, we'll let you folks know! As with every date we share, they are estimates only - please be aware that things such as weather can always throw a wrench in the process.

A Look Inside: the Signature Page and the End Sheets!

Hi there everyone!

We hope you're having a good week so far! We've got a couple art pieces to show you today!

As part of redesigning the interior of the book, we also have to design the signature tip-ins for the books. These pages are unique in that they are printed before the rest of the book and shipped to the author for signing. Once they're done, they get shipped back to the printer and the remainder of production can begin.

Earlier this month, we have the finalized design of those tip-in pages (shown below). There may be some slight changes as we work to match our designs to the printer's requirements, but all of your signature pages can be expected to look like this!

In addition to the signature page, we also finished up the end sheets! Take a look below!

The end sheets are the first thing you see when you open the book as well as the very last before it closes, so we wanted to make sure they stood out and really provided atmosphere to this story. Most of you are familiar with this art, so we wanted to show y'all where it would be in the book!

A Wraithmarked Update... BookCon! And... a Look Inside: the Interior!

Hey there everyone!

Firstly, we wanted to check in on last update's poll! The results are in! In case you missed it, we'll link to it HERE.

As mentioned in the poll update, unless 67% voted in favor of the thinner, parchment-like stock, we'll be going with our usual glossed double stock! Now that the results are in, we'll be ordering our standard style prints! We'll get these ordered this upcoming week and have them sent out to Todd to be signed! You guys will get a sneak peak before we send them off, though! ;)

Secondly...

We just wanted to update everyone and say... THANK YOU! We know this portion of the update is a little late, but we didn't want to bog down the poll/results.

As some of you know, Wraithmarked attended our very first BookCon located in NYC! This was our first time ever coming to this convention and it was such a wonderful trip for us. We had a BLAST and it was definitely unlike any of the other conventions we've been to. As always, y'all came out to support us, and we couldn't be more grateful. Some of you also may have gotten a couple sneak peeks! ;)

We just wanted to reach out and say thank you. It's always lovely to put faces to names, chitchat about campaign progress, find out what everyone's reading, share some behind-the-scenes art, and show off early copies of our books in-person (soon to be fulfilled books)!
